On 21 December 2017, Anna Yushchak, LL.M., member of the Board of the Contemporary Law Studio, participated in the Scientific Conference “Private International Law: Current Issues and Perspectives of Development” dedicated to the 25th anniversary of establishment of the Private International Law Chair of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Mrs. Yushchak made a presentation on the “Burning issues of determination of personal law of a child in private law relations with a foreign element”. Mrs. Yushchak reported on the relevant regulations of the Law of Ukraine on Private International Law, Family Code of Ukraine and referred to the relevant provisions of the Convention of 19 October 1996 on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Co-operation in Respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of ChildrenConvention of 25 October 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, Hague Convention of 23 November 2007 on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance.
